Writing projects? What do you mean, I still have those?
I'm on edge in an excited way. I ordered a tablet. I was going to get one eventually, but I wasn't planning this soon. Then I had to on account of school. My final art project is just not feasible without one. I went ahead and got a Wacom (apparently no other tablet company is even worth considering) Bamboo because I did the measuring and small tablets are ridiculously tiny and I can't afford to spend $300+ on the medium Intuos right now. I just hope I'm not too spoiled by the classroom Intuos4 to tolerate a Bamboo.
Once I get the hang of it, I can start doing all the artsy stuff I've been putting off for months now. Like, saaay, updating my icons. (If you haven't noticed, my journal layout has been overhauled in most other ways.) Or, perhaps even more importantly, practicing comic pages. I'd say I should get started on my webcomic, except I need to finalize the script a tad more. I have a few issues "complete," but the first one needs completely rewritten and the others need some clean up. Not to mention I'd like to at least have a detailed summary, if not a finished script, for the entire project before I start. I have most of the plotlines down in my head, just not the order of events, and that's kinda sorta important. I don't want to draw five issues only to realize I missed something really important that can only fit in issue four.
None of this is probably gonna happen until after finals, mind you, and then I have to deal with a bi-weekly programming class in Columbia's shitty new building. Hopefully only one class means I'll have free time, but I've never taken a summer class. I know they're more intense and twice weekly kind of drives me up the wall -- I think they've planned it so I'll have spent more time in the classroom over summer than I would have during a regular semester's class, which is ridiculous.
I really need to start getting priorities set up with my life. It's gotten to the point where I can't even keep track of what schoolwork needs done when. Tonight will be dish cleaning and litter box cleaning and vacuuming. That's the plan I will probably forget.
