So it turns out Katie's computer (Zeus) has been infected with the Sony rootkit. And I'm aware that the fix Sony provides just opens up more security flaws in the system. Is there anything that she can do short of reinstalling Windows to remove it? Clean Access Fucktard won't let her on the Internet until she does.

Taking a break from my NaNo (=5,412 words right now) and checking LJ when I really need to finish my wordcount for the day so I can do homeworks and stuff. Am in Campbell building's "lounge" with its two computers so I'm less distracted (compared to...?) and there was a guy working next to me, checking email.

After my weekend troubles, my pink screen and my recent love letter to ITS, an email went out to everyone on campus informing them of a bug in VirusScan and providing a link to a patch.
