Problem: I want a pizza.

1 packet yeast (16 tenge)
400g cheese (360 tenge)
1 can of tomato paste (120 tenge)

I already have all the other ingredients, plus soy meat and onion for topping. Could maybe stand to shell out for black olives (200 tg) or jarred peppers (185 tg) for additional toppings.

Problem: I want to try this soup, too.

Rice at 200tg/kilo,
700g farsh (245 tg)
1 carrot, probably around 30 tenge
1 head of cabbage, anywhere from 60-120 tg depending on the size
1 can of tomatoes (105 tg)
1 can of tomato paste (120 tenge)
Parsley and dill, which come together at 30 tenge.

Problem: I am trying to be virtuous and spend less that 5,000 tenge this month on food, giving me a budget of about 900 left for the entire coming week. On one hand, the soup leaves me precious little breathing room for bread and none for juice. On the other, the pizza probably won't last me an entire week, even if I make like four of them.

Solution #1: Make the soup and accept that I will go over my target food budget.

Pros: Soup could last all week, especially if I use extra rice.

Cons: Expensive.

Solution #2: Make the pizza. Supplement with French fries (Potatos are 70-90 tg/kilo.)

Pros: Less expensive than soup.

Cons: I'd be eating pizza and french fries. For a week.

(Problem: I really like having peanut butter in the house. Possible solution: Whole peanuts cost 800 tenge for a kilo and I have a meat grinder.)

Observation: It is slightly alarming that the weather can be simultaneously so sunny and so cold that I can go outside to observe sublimation.

Revelation: Michael Kenmore is basically Dr. Horrible.

fandom: sga, weather, food
