An insightful comment

Lately, well ever since I got into Gaga, I have been contemplating the Illuminati, conspiracies, good vs evil, our spiritual nature, the state of things on Earth, etc.  One sight I like is vigilant citizen.  A lot of the commentators on the sight are somewhat out there, heck even the dude that runs the sight is sort of that way at times.  There was ( Read more... )

Uh, no, I'd label that stuff wank.

This is by far one of the least "mystical" eras I've existed in. As a society, we can hardly envision the future anymore -- we're simply regurgitating. I'm not without hope, but I am pragmatic.

Commercialism =/= Enlightenment

What do you think is wank about it? There is plenty of evidence out there that the richest, most powerful men in the world get together and plan everything from who is gonna run for President to the Iraq War to the current state of the economy years in advance, then lay the groudwork and carry out their plans-working mostly through various secret societies. So concepts such as these aren't too out there ( ... )

Oh my, I've done all this research. The guy you quoted sounded utterly pretentious, not enlightened.

Occultism is gobble-dee-gook that makes people feel cool without doing something legitimate like curing cancer. Men trying to get laid are always going to seek ways to gain power, even if it means digging up old ideas like Thelema. Stuff makes interesting music videos, it don't control the world.

However, it is good to wonder about the underlying forces and suspect that there is more to the world then meets the eye.

Things only have as much power as you give them. Read that again. Satan loves God, people can be in denial all they want, but it all comes back to love. The universe wants to create life.

So um, black magic elected Obama? You do realize how funny that is?

Honey, LAUGH. There's your power & magic. Pray and be happy.

Actually what he said is from the Tao, something I have to look more into.

The men involved in this are not advertising it to get laid, believe me. If they did it would lead to their death. They keep it secret and it takes outsiders going in and videotaping this stuff for it to come out into the open.

Nixon, Reagon, the Bushes all were part of secret societies that are involved in this occult stuff. I think many of the Democratic Presidents get into office and then are 'warned' to follow the rules or they will end up like JFK.

I don't believe in the Messiah idea. I think each one of us has the ability to become like Jesus or the Buddha by following their example.

I love our conversations:)

Well thank God, because I thought he thought he was making that stuff up himself and that would be pretencious. Yes, absolutely read the Tao.

Just reading about the man who brought Thelema into the forefront again (it's really just a tiny branch of ancient Paganism) on Wikipedia will not only procure what a narcisstic nut-job he was, but also his fruitless attempts at sexual this and that -- particularly after his marriage collapsed.

I like the symbols though. I mean, they're cool in a geometric sense, naturally they look good slapped on advertising or whatever. A crucifix would be too obvious (as would an upside down crucifix). As an artistic person, and a spiritual one, I can't help but admire symbols.

Well...I mean if all this really disturbs you, I probably can't talk you out of it. It is intersting, but lodges/shriners/masons have been doing rituals for a long time. It's a bonding thing, it's a way of making the elite (uh, the rich) feel even more elite and powerful. Do I believe it actually puts a whammy on anything? No. They ( ... )

hmmm...I never thought of it was more of a psychological 'bonding' type thing. That is an interesting angle.

I don't know that much about Thelema. Where did you read about this?

It is easy to blame rascism on different assassinations. For instance we are taught in school that MLK Jr was killed because of his civil rights cause. In October I visited the National Civil Rights Museum in Memphis and learned for the first time that his life was not threatened until he started talking against the economic structure of our country. Tell me why that is NEVER mentioned in our history classes? I didn't even know that he was pretty much against capitalism. Think of all the others who don't know this, pretty sad.

Anyways gotta get ready for work:(

j/k.

Researching ancient Paganism for fun is where I first learned about it. However, Thelema is the scientology of England and still gets bandied about for hocus-pocus mumbo-jumbo, like "lonelygirl15" who made a career of it.

Know what I'm researching for fun now? Grammar. Yup. Little more practical. I'm always up to something.

forgot to add that you are correct that commercialism and Capitalism doesn't equal enlightenment. They are both huge Satanic concepts that celebrate greed and total disregard for the environment and other people which is why I said that if we were to exist more in harmony we could extend the birth/death cycle of the Earth but not enough souls have evolved to that level yet I am afraid.

A messiah may yet come, we don't know, we just have to keep playing the cards we are dealt. We must believe. Including in ourselves. The war for good and evil is fought in every one of us, every day -- no lore required ( ... )
