Every time I hear that word it makes me think of the song in Chicago.
Hi my little loveys. I've been away as the theatre and Judy (a professor) has been stealing my soul. This semester I was prop master for 'Art' and the Older Sister-in-law in 'Yerma.' Now, I have ample free time and the chance to see my friends again! So, with this time I will go back to writing and enjoying other leisures in life. In in Issues in Media Comm class we've been reading about bloggers and their ability to be a cathartic release for the masses, and I've been itching to write. My goal is to write every other day. Maybe something profound will pop up- or it will be the normal log of my life and daily events. Either way it's bound to be FUN!!! right, right...anyone.
Oh, I'm home from Tuesday night to Monday night so let me know if anyone wants to get together.
In other news I'm working on (fighting to the death with certain members of the department) my graduation project. I'm directing a one act in March. It's a part of Neil Simon's California Suite- A Visitor from Philadelphia. Very funny. There's a passed out hooker with their shirt off. Lots of doors slamming and people hiding.
I also have an acting showcase in December. Those two monologes are worth 20% of my grade for one class, and half of my grade for the other. (p.s.- both of those are Judy classes, starting to get the picture of her.)
Some more Judy moments- last week I had a fainting spell after I got out of the shower and hadn't had breakfast yet. I mention this to Judy while at class an hour later, and she thought that I really need to take better care of myself now that I'm pregnant. What!! Well, thanks for letting me know. I said, "Those immaculate conceptions, never know when they're going to strike." And she thought that maybe I should look at my boyfriend if I was wondering who the father was- what boyfriend- what sex. "Oh, are you guys not talking about your dating." WHO. When I explained to Judy that her suspect and I were in fact not dating, we weren't kinda dating, we didn't even see each other much; she then complained to me that I'm keeping her out of the gossip loop. That that is unfair and mean of me, and that I should share more, especially the "juicy good stuff like who's hooking up with who." Thanks Judy.
