Eh, not to much to report other than I'm being slowly drowned in my own homework. I have a whopping 3 midterms prior to Spring Break, which for some reason is next week. Isn't Semana Santa two weeks from now? First midterm in Geography went okay. I'll be surprised if I get a B though. I admit I didn't study as well or as thoroughly as I could have. By the time my Mythology midterm rolled around, I was burnt out. I just sat there for a good ten minutes before starting the test. Keep in mind, this was a fifty minute test, with an essay, 50 MC and 10 fill-in-the-blanks. Awesome. My hand was cramping by the end of it.
Still no job, or volunteer work. I'm such a bum. A bum that somehow still manages to lend out money. I should know better than lending my mother money though. "I'll pay you back" is the equivalent of "Your treat." I just can't say no to her, especially if it'll shut her up for a bit.
There's not much to rant about. Well I suppose there's the awkward moment when a parental attempts to add you on FB. Dunno if I should accept or not. It's too awkward. I realize I don't really post up anything personal, but still, I'd rather keep my barely-alive social life apart from family business. Only exceptions are younger siblings and cousins. But "adults"? No thank you. It's not you, it's me.
Panic! at the Disco's new album is up for streaming! Love it. There are a few songs that one me over from the start. The live version of Let's Kill Tonight has been on repeat periodically. I have to say though, I am not a fan of the whole echo thing going on in the recorded version. The organs though... incredible. I've also been in love with Hurricane. While I've been waiting years for Nearly Witches, I'm completely obsessed with the first two. I must say, Memories is excellent as well. Not the type of song I usually like, but the lyrics and melody are so tragic...
Britney Spears' new album also leaked. I don't think I've ever loved an entire album of her the way I loved Panic's AFYCSO. With her, I instantly fall in love with some songs, others take weeks (if not months, or years) to grow on me. I've listened to the whole album, and the only song that had me at first listen was Criminal. I find it unusual, since I'm not normally a fan of anything resembling a ballad.
I finally finished Kuroshitsuji. Wow, was it good. I've been watching a few episodes here and there for over a year now, but I finally sat down and watched episodes 13-24. I don't know, I just feel like there were so many fillers between the main plot; it was just hard to get into. But the last six or so episodes. Damn, it was amazing, especially that last episode. Ciel hanging on a ledge and letting go! That's the first time in a long time my jaw was just on the floor in utter shock. I was just yelling at the screen after an entire minute of staring.
On the CielxSebastian debacle. Honestly, in the beginning, I just figured the fan girls were doing their usual thing. Pairing the cool, slightly fetish-fodder that is Sebastian with Ciel. From the beginning, Sebastian's relationship with Ciel seemed kind of teasing, like it was never meant to be serious. However, by the end of the series, I legitly think Sebastian has feelings for Ciel. By the time S2 rolls around, I think Ciel's relationship with Sebastian, when once he acted indifferent and kept him at a distance, has changed. Now the audience Ciel as much more willing to trust Sebastian. He no longer treats him as his servant and treats him with suspicion. He genuinely seems to rely on Sebastian. I don't know if I ship it though.
