I swear Doc Bob is probably the most intelligent person on earth but he just pretends to be senile because it's more fun that way.
And it definately is more fun!

Yesterday we watched the Japanese movie Battle Royale. A 7th grade class is kidnapped by a government agency in order to participate in the latest Battle Royale (as is dictated by a law passed when adults decided kids did not show enough respect to them). 40 kids on a desserted island have 3 days to kill everyone and be the last boy or girl standing. Despite the violence the movie is not nearly the blood bath one would expect. There are certain parts that get a little bit confusing around the beginning and around the end but it is generally easy to follow. My biggest complaint about the movie, actually, is that I kept forgetting the children were 12 years old. It doesn't make it much better, but I kept thinking of them as 18 or something. To see them running around with such hatred for some of their classmates or such love for others is much more disturbing when they're only 12. The ending threw in a very unique twist that made the movie even better. I recommend it

Vanessa and I broke up last night. Not too big a deal or anything. Once we got back neither of us really felt the way we did at the end of the term.

We had our first meeting for the Devised Theatre troupe. Even if the show sucks the rehearsals are at least promised to be hilarious. This'll be fun.
