I did a shitload of work today. I worked much on the face. Now you can see the face,lol. Worked on the table top and the horseshoe. The horse shoe looked like it was falling off the table, so I repainted it. Repainted the perspective lines on the floor, they were somewhat a bit off. More or less finished the background. Added grain the table sides.

I did a lot of work today. I redid the background. It was getting dirty.  The color is  the sauce+lamp black +Mars Orange.   The light has to be mixed into it.Still working on the figure. I like the figure better now.  Colors are fairly close to the original.   Here is a pic of the painting to date:

I have done  a crap load of work since last time. The colour you see on the legs looks skin colour !  It is neat,but the effect is unattended. Table  is done for the most part. Getting the elipse to look right in perspective was hard.  Table top done for the most part.  All that needs doing is the floor design and the figure.Here is my palette to- ( Read more... )

I wiped out the figure.  The vermillian ,white and yellow isn't working. Wasted a whole day  on painting the figure.

I  have done a huge amount  of work so far.  I have started to paint the figure. I am on my second palette
The first time I tried to paint it, it looked crappy. It somewhat better now.  My palette for the first run through  was light orange, dark organge,red ,yellow and brown and whitel.  I settled for vermillian+yellow and white and brown. As ( Read more... )
