"Uhm, why are you couching down our booth? And are you spying on those… Hey, I know them… They're that girl band--" Ryuu was saying but suddenly Hikaru pulled him down.
"Shh! Ryuu. Sit down, jeez!" Hikaru scolded. Ryuu just stared at him, confused. He just went to the CR and when he came back they're like this… Did he missed something?
They were quiet for a while and then Ryuu said once more. "So… we're crouching down because..?"
Yuya answered, "Scientific experiment."
"It's more like a social experiment." Inoo-chan corrected.
"So…" Ryuu started again, still confused. "Why are we doing a scientific experiment that's more like a social experiment and spying on SCANDAL's members?"
"It's this." Hikaru said, passing a notebook to him but not looking away at the two girls in the other table.
Ryuu blinked at the notebook. Its cover is pink and on the front were written 'Rules of Love.'
"Rules of Love…" Ryuu said out loud, trying to understand. "One of you three like one of those girls?" He tried to guess.
"We're observing." Inoo said while he was writing something on another notebook. Then he turned back at now Ryuu remembered was SCANDAL's lead guitarist and drummer.
Ryuu still couldn't understand. Looking at the two girls, he really couldn't see anything his three older friends would get as 'data' for their so called 'experiment.'
The two girls were just eating (they were in a restaurant, that's what normal people should do… unlike his friends), chatting and laughing. Just your average friends hanging out.
Inoo turned to Ryuu and gestured for him to open the notebook. He did and on the first page, there was something written.
Ryuu read that.
Rules of Love:
Kiss on the lips = I love you
Kiss on the ear = You are special
Kiss on the nose = laughter
Kiss on the cheek = friendship
Kiss on the neck = I want you
Ryuu didn't finish reading and just looked at his friends in confusion.
"We're trying to see if they're really just 'friends' or you know… more." Hikaru said.
"Ehhh!?!?" Ryuu couldn't help it.
"Shhhh!" Hikaru scolded.
"They did enter the restaurant holding hands…" Yuya pointed out.
"Isn't that perfectly normal among girls?" Ryuu tried to say.
"Well, we can't really be sure, can we?" Inoo said.
Ryuu sighed. He knew he'd never win against them. He wished the rest of JUMP would just come already.
"Where did you get this stinking not--" He was cut off by another voice.
"So who are we spying this time?" Yabu asked, crouching down besides Ryuu.
"SCANDAL's Sasazaki Mami and Suzuki Rina." Inoo reported.
"Statement of the problem: Are they girlfriends or are they 'girlfriends'" Hikaru wrote quotation marks in the air.
"Interesting." Yabu said. "So any data yet?" He asked.
Yuya took the pink notebook from Ryuu and passed it to Yabu.
"Well, they were holding hands. According to this," He pointed at the notebook, "That means 'happiness'. And earlier Sasazaki-san was playing with Suzuki-san's hair and they're all smiles. Playing with hair means 'I can't live without you' and smiling at each other means 'I like you'." Yuya finished.
Yabu nodded, grinning mischievously. "Cool. Where'd you get this notebook?" He asked.
"Ryuu's bag." Hikaru said.
"Eehh???!" Both Ryuu and Yabu said at once.
"Shh!" Inoo told the two and then explained, "We wanted to hide something of Ryuu's as a prank because we were bored. But then we saw this just as Sasazaki-san and Suzuki-san entered."
"Ryuu…" Yabu started, looking as if Ryuu had suddenly grown another head. "Our Ryuu… writing stuffs about love… all grown up…"
"STOP." Ryuu said severely, wishing he was deaf. "It's not even mine. Give me that." He said as he took the notebook and look at it more closely.
He exploded. "This is Natsune's!" He exclaimed, looking angry. "That girl! She's just twelve! What is she doing writing about stuffs like this!" Ryuu said, looking murderous indeed.
Before he could go further, the BEST members all tackled him and covered his mouth.
"Shut up!" Hikaru hissed.
Inoo peaked to see the two girls and the other customers looking at their booth. BEST subtly took their seats and were suddenly laughing without any reason at all. And after a little while, the other people look away and the two girls returned to their talk.
"Okay, we're safe." Inoo whispered. "Ryuu, don't do that again!" Inoo said like a mom would scold her son.
Ryuu just nodded, blinking to make sure it wasn't his mom in front of him.
"But Natsune…" Ryuu tried to say, a lot more calmer now. "My twelve years old sister---" But he trailed off, realizing no one was listening to him as the others went back to their 'observation' as if he hasn't just been emotionally traumatized by a paperback.
Ryuu sighed, defeated. Where were the others? They were seriously taking their time.
Suddenly his phone rang. It was a mail from Keito saying he would be late because he got lost. Again.
Ryuu groaned.
And then he could feel it. His friends' tension was increasing. Looking back at them, he saw Yabu's and Inoo's shocked faces and Hikaru's and Yuya's awed grins.
"Did you see that?" Hikaru said excitedly.
"Sasazaki-san kissed Suzuki-san's nose!" Yabu said, looking a little shocked.
"That's here!" Inoo said, looking at the pink notebook. "It means 'laughter.'"
"So they're really..?" Yuya asked.
"They must be…" Hikaru said.
"That's seriously HOT!" Yuya said excitedly.
Four pairs of eyes looked at him sharply.
"What?" He asked, a little defensively.
"Wow Yuya, you sounded just like a perverted old man." Inoo said.
Yuya shrugged, not guilty. "You say that but actually all of you agree with me." He said, grinning.
No one contradicted him. Yabu and Hikaru actually laughed and Inoo blushed.
Ryuu was shocked. It was as if he was seeing them for the first time. He found himself taking out his phone once more and dialing the first number he saw on his contacts.
"Dai-chan, save me! They're being weird again!"
Five minutes later, Dai-chan arrived. But he was no match for the other four.
He had tried to say, "You know, that 'rules' might not apply to homosexual relationships… So this experiment would be invalid."
But as Ryuu, he just wouldn't win against them. Soon, he too was spying on the two girls who now seems to turned out to be exactly what Hikaru said they were.
He wasn't looking, but he knew what was happening on the other table because Yuya is exclaiming in whispers all that the two girls did, like some sort of a sports commentator. And if he was accurate, the girls have hugged, kissed each other on the nose, the shoulder, the ear and everywhere else including the lips (that got the loudest reaction from the pervs). And it's only been ten minutes since Dai-chan arrived.
"They aren't against PDA, that's for sure." Dai-chan said, sounding a little alarmed.
Having had enough of it, Ryuu stood up from his seat, deciding to just wait for 7 outside the restaurant. They must have been on their way. Keito would be late, like he mailed, and Yamada have work til a little later but surely Yuto and Chii is coming, right?
That was when he saw him.
Yuto. He was so tall, he couldn't crouch low enough to hide his head. He was sitting in another booth.
Realizing that he was seen, Yuto gestured for Ryuu to keep quiet and to come to his table. Ryuu realized he wasn't alone. He was with Chii and two girls. The rest of SCANDAL's members: Ono Haruna and Ogawa Tomomi. All four were silently guffawing.
Ryuu blinked and looked at where they were looking at: BEST's table, the occupant of which looking at the other half of SCANDAL.
"You've been here since long ago, haven't you?" Ryuu asked, now smiling.
"Yes." Chii chuckled. "We got it all on cam." He said with a smirk.
"You should have seen… Well, you were there. The pervs." Yuto said, laughing as well.
"So Sasazaki-san and Suzuki-san aren't..?" Ryuu had to ask.
"No." Ogawa Tomomi said with a giggle.
"We were about to go to Mami's and Rina's table when we saw them. We heard enough, and luckily, Timo here have the exact same notebook they had." Ono Haruna explained, pointing at Ogawa-san.
Ogawa-san held up a pink notebook. The exact same notebook BEST have.
"Eh? So Natsune didn't write those… it's just part of the notebook's design!" Ryuu said in a whisper, feeling relieved.
"We’ve been sending them mails." Ono-san said with a smug smile.
"We saw them from the beginning." Ogawa-san said. "And we immediately mailed Mami, but then Nakajima-san and Chinen-san here saw us spying on your friends while they were spying on our friends and asked us if they could join us."
"Sit down, Ryuu, you're just in time for the finale." Chii said with a grin.
Grinning as well, Ryuu took his seat besides Chii and watched as Sasazaki-san and Suzuki-san stood up and made their way to the CR.
"What are they going to do?" Ryuu asked.
"That's what your friends would try to know." Ono-san grinned mischievously.

"I can't believe I let you talk me into doing that. This is so embarrassing." Inoo said, head slumped on the table.
Hikaru was laughing. Dai-chan was trying not to laugh while patting Inoo's back. Yuya seems to be trying to be invisible, unfortunately having been seated between Suzuki and Ono. Yabu was trying to apologize to SCANDAL's members (to Ogawa mainly, because she was sitting closest to him) who were all just laughing along with 7.
"Please delete the video…" Inoo tried to plead yet again.
"No way." Sasazaki said with a grin. "Besides you really looked pretty when you entered the ladies' room." She laughed. "I almost believe you were a girl."
Inoo pounded his head on the table, wishing he could just have a severe concussion and die.
"Ah, this is so fun." Rina said as the waiter started serving them food.
The door to the restaurant opened and in came a very harried-looking Yamada.
He blinked at the people in front of him.
Sasazaki saluted him. "Yo, Ryosuke!"
"Sasazaki-san… and your band…"
"We crashed your party, hope you don't mind." She said with a grin.
"You know each other?" Chii asked.
"She's my neechan's friend." Yamada explained. He looked around the table once more. The sniggering girls, the harassed-looking BEST and the mischievous grins of the other 7 members…
"Please tell me you had it in viideo." He said with a grin.
Yuto grinned and held up his cam like he was making a toast. "Best anniversary party so far."
A little while later, the door opened once more and in came Keito.
He was surprised there were so many people: familiar looking girls were laughing away with 7 members and BEST members were also smiling though looking a little grim… er, and Inoo was in one corner seemingly sulking. And is he wearing make up?
"Did I miss something?" Keito said at large but no one noticed him.
