1. What did you do in 2006 that you'd never done before?
bought a vehicle, drove it. got married. got spayed.
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I resolved to publish a book in 2006, so yes.
next year's resolution: be less of a picky eater.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?

my oma. i wouldn't say we were "close" though.
5. What countries did you visit?
canada, for about 5 minutes.
6. What would you like to have in 2007 that you lacked in 2006?
a wedding, a driver's license, financial stability. emnployment for more than 3 months at a time.
7. What dates from 2006 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
june 10, because it's my birthday and therefore the most important day of the year. december 8 we got legally, if not officially hitched.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
landin' a man getting comfortable driving. getting some good jobs. i ate more, drank more and did WAY more drugs than ever before. it made the year barely tolerable.
9. What was your biggest failure?
same as last year: "The distinct lack of good employment and crapping out on my NaNo novel" but adding: gaining and losing a lot of friends in rapid succession, falling in and out of love and getting my heart broken with rapid succession.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
i had surgery for my tubes. i got pretty sick one or twice.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
2007 Prius, wedding rings, plane tickets to Scotland, tix to Sufjan Stevens.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Adam, Lisa(k) Will & Mike, some of my bosses, my dad (not that I'd ever admit it or give him credit)
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
mine, my mother's, Rob, Esther, Pablo, Ryan, Kelsey, Suzanne, some coworkers, and a handful of others not worth mentioning.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Food/rent/utilities, the wedding.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
the wedding, working for the guv'ment.

anything and everything by Sufjan Stevens, and "Fuck Her Gently" by Tenacious D, lol

saving. sex. drugs.

yes, about a half-dozen times. and out just as many, if not more.

a handful, but Adam doesn't exactly count since I, you know, live with him.

CSI, X-Files

no, only annoyed or depressed. i'm too lethargic to hate.
What was the best book you read?
"Omnivore's Dilemma," just like everyone else. I read depressingly little this year.

I'd say Sufjan but he's been tucked away in the back of my musical brain since 2003ish. Mountain Goats, Andrew Bird, Tenacious D, i dunno, lots of stuff.

a nice apartment, love

stable employment.

V for Vendetta, PotC, Borat, Little Miss Sunshine, i don't remember

quarter-century mark. went out to bars with friends, got plastered and hit-on, particularly by those who share my birthday (cough).
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
more money, less drama, better decisions, no babies. and never again hotter than 95 degrees.
33.What would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2006?
I'm never going to win Oly's "indie than thou" vibe, so forget it. I embrace my sweaterclad clashiness, and will NOT apologise for loving Wet Seal.

same as last year: "It’s a long and humiliating list"

"pre-pregnant," the elections, blah blah i hate the bush admin.

same joke I tell every year: I still miss my FLG, but my aim is improving.

i dunno, all the people I met this year crapped out on me. IRL, anyway. I made so many sweet, interesting, caring eljay friends though. you guys are T3H 4W350M3Z0RZ.

a husband at home is worth more than 5 potential dates.
