I'm leaving on a jet plane...
saturday we are getting on a 6am flight to colorado springs, co. i'm very excited to go to colorado because i've always wanted to go. sadly we are only going for 4 days and since it's my youngest sisters college gradution most of that time is already spoken for. she has several receptions and a party at her apt. so we have lots to do. thankfully it's mostly standing type stuff so E won't get to bored. i hope he handles the flight well. i hope i handle the flight well. we have to get up around 3:30am to catch our flight. AND we have to figure out how to pack all our things and car seat and be able to carry it all. the plan is to put E in the ergo/mei tai and pack in one giant suitcase, a car seat, diaper bag and each with a carry on. we are packing a big rubber water tight bag (we have for kayaking) to pack dirty diapers in for the trip home. i might pack that in a separate duffel. we'll see. and to add to the complexity of this trip...the weather in colorado springs (at the base of the rockies) is extremely variable. oh yay!
