it sucks but Im just saying this in here so I can say it and not have people get on me for not being positive. Im also not wanting a pity party or looking for attention which many people do on facebook or tumblr so Im just saying it here

I think that you and a lot of other people in bands have this huge problem separating friendships from people attending shows. I think for your own sake you have to separate those 2 and try not to hold it against people if they don't come to all of your shows. Also it would be good if you didn't insult them if they don't come, because I have seen people post on facebook "No one came to my show on tuesday so fuck all of you!" To me that is the most retarded thing to do because then next time you are begging people to come they will be like "Oh NOW she wants me to go to her show, meanwhile she told me to go fuck myself last time I didn't go to a show. So does it matter if I AS AN INDIVIDUAL AND AS HER FRIEND go or does she just want to count me as a warm body in her crowd count/count the money that the door is getting?" I have felt that way many times when it comes to being friends with people in bands. Like I was just another ticket sold rather than them caring that me as a person came to see them. Then to be insulted for not going to every show just makes me want to never go to one again. If you don't go to one show suddenly they forget every show you ever went to, as if they don't count, because all that matters to them is that you didn't go to this most recent one.

Also to me when someone is begging me to come to EVERY show like 4+ shows a month it starts to lose meaning. If it's a big show or an important show yeah I understand the begging and promoting or whatever but if you expect every friend to go to every show it's just never going to happen. You are just going to drive yourself crazy and lose friends that way if you expect it to happen. You're right that you need fans because fans want to be at every show, rather than going out of obligation/guilt because they are your friend.

I dont expect my friends to go to every show. I only get annoyed at those who repeatedly expect me to expect THEM and they never go. They tell me to depend on them because they soooo support me and they dont.

I was just venting last night and needed to release it. I dont see my friends as another ticket. If my friends go to one show I dont hold it against them if they cant go to another. The only time i would push if its a big deal. The show on the 5th is a big deal and thankfully those who normally go to shows are going. those who told me for months they were coming to a show and have yet to go are even going. Its those who always tell me they are going to a show and to please book a weekend show and never go and still insist on not going that upset me. I hate being strung along.

I dont think i ever said fuck you to those who dont go unless its someone who has never gone to a show and repeatedly said they would. Even then though I dont think I have ever said that to anyone.

Oh god I went off on a tangent lol. Sorry about that. I know that YOU don't do that "fuck anyone who didn't come to my show" thing but I just saw someone do that and it was fresh in my mind. I really didn't mean that you do that personally, I just got off and running on a friendships with people in bands train of thought and got carried away. My main point to you is that I think you should try to separate out friendships from people going to your shows because it's just going to drive you nuts. I know people will say they are gonna do something til the cows come home but it's better to adopt a "believe it when I see it" attitude for your own sake. It is so frustrating and disappointing to keep expecting of people and being let down.
