Havent really updated in a while. I have been in school for 2 weeks and it feels like I have been here for fucking years. The people themselves are really cool and chill so that helps. School has definitely changed me, and its only been two weeks. It has forced me to meet people I never met and not have the comfort of home and friends. I got a tattoo in college, my first week here, which was something I never thought I would. But the tattoo has its meaning and that meaning was formed in college.
I also joined a Fraternity yesterday! This whole week is rush week and me and the guys went over the booths to look at it. This guy Joe came over and just started talking to us and shit and it seemed like a kick ass Frat, and their number one on campus. Everyday is a different thing and then when we went yesterday, each Frat was in a room where you watched a video and shit. The first room we went in, was Theta Chi, the ones we had talked to the day before. Afterwards when you meet all the guys, Joe came up and asked if I wanted to accept his bid, which is when they want you and take you in. So out of 30 guys, 4 of us got them and its sick because its me, danny, mike and paul. We ended up going over to Res-com, another dorm, and went to a party in the Fraternity guys appt. Tonight were meetin in Vaughn bc they want the new guys to try and recruit other freshman. Tomm there is a BBQ and a wiffle ball game at 2 and then tomm night is a concert that the guys are putting on. Its a bunch of sick local bands. We get in free now too so thats kick ass too. Saturday were going to the beach so everyday is something.
I am still wondering if I rushed into it. But its cool because if I went to my brothers fraternity I would have automatically gotten in because I am considered a legacy since my brother is a brother. But I did not and its cool cuz I did it on my own.
Classes themselves are pretty intense. You can not get below a C in any class or else you fail. I didnt know but this school is one of the top ten east coast schools. I have one class which is pretty much all public speaking which sucks but on the good side, the classes are all small ass classes so it makes it easier. The professors are really cool too. My EDU professor emailed me seeing if I wanted 4 free tickets and free parking pass to the Tampa Bay Devil Rays game next week. And the week after that, me and the guys up in Vaughn are going to THE SOX GAME! Its only $5 a ticket here.
My parents keep asking me to come home and visit and shit before Thanksgiving. They asked me if I want to come home for parents weekend but I really dont know. I like it here too much so not sure. Itd be sick to get home tho and visit but its only been 2 weeks.
