(no subject)
I had a pretty kick ass weekend. Saturday David and I drove down to D.C. super early in the morning. We got there in really great time. We went to the Holocaust Museum then walked by the Washington Monument, the new World War II memorial, down the reflecting pool, to the Lincoln Memorial, and then past the Vietnam War Memorial wall. We then went to the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History. After seeing lots of bones and stuffed things in the “dead zoo” we drove over to the International Spy Museum. We also took a real fast tour through the Smithsonian American Art Museum as a shortcut to the Spy Museum. We had a really great time. But today my body was really sore.
Yesterday, I went down to Vineland and went to Wildwood to see a Poison concert with some old friends from my ‘hood that I grew up with. The concert was so-so but the company was great. We had Mack’s pizza on the boardwalk and looked at all the crazy t-shirts on our way to the convention center. I honestly can’t believe all those stores stay in business selling shirts like these. Here are some examples:
-I’m going nucking futs!!!
-I hate everyone and you're next.
-Italian beer drinking team
The concert was like a time warp. Lot of people dressed up like it was 1987…or maybe they just still dress like that.
Also, I found out that the Gin Blossoms are playing at the Harvest Festival in Rosenhayn this year. I find this to be really sad. If you don’t remember them (I didn’t - I looked them up on Amazon) their hits included “Hey Jealousy” and “Follow you Down” and “Alison Road.” My cousin is the chief of the fire department in Rosenhayn. I’ve got the hookup. Actually it’s free to everyone. And I’m not going.
Also, I miss my friends from the 08021. We need to have a party or something.
