Got up this morning to discover Claire’s car has now been broken into overnight. They trashed the inside and wound down the windows, presumably because it was raining and they could cause more damage that way. Some moron smashed into Claire’s car while she was at work today, smashing a headlight and causing damage to the bumper. She then got home to find a letter from the Inland Revenue saying she has underpaid in tax and owes £60.03. I have my car broken into - for the third time in five months. My umbrella is stolen and I get soaked walking to work.
