Ah, life is back to good...just like that.
We did a show in Iowa City tonight. Andy put his bass shiz in my van along with my drum stuff and we rode together to that barfly crazed town and back tonight. He told me that he is quitting the band. He said that he doesnt want to quit the band but feels as though he should so that Jamey and I arent held back. He was very concerned and had thinking about this for quite some time. As have we. We talked things over and I actually regret saying some things about him in the past. I was just frustrated and pessimistic. I think i'll even miss the guy. I'm glad that i didnt completely lose a friendship out of this. He gave me some advice for Jamey and I on how we should carry on. We thought of who could replace him but couldnt come up with a good list of people. I mention Jeremy but learned that he hasnt touched a bass in some time. This gets me a little shitting in me trouser powsers. We've got some great songs, honestly, and i dont want them to never reach their full potential. We'll see. He's ours till the 24th of September.
The show went pretty good. Not too many people showed up but they all loved us as usual. It's good to rock off every face in the joint.
Understanding is a good thing. Thats my advice for the week. Put forth effort to fully understand someone close to you or who could one day be close to you.
