My previous journal I opened and meant to write this:
I love memes, I love new things that come along where the internet just runs with them. In this case Ponies. I watch the show, not a big fan but it's good. But what I love is all the creative things those who ARE really interested in doing with it.
You see some adorable pictures, some amazing fanfic, and generally amid all the snark and jokes and misc crap some true and undiniable gems in the rough. Much like fandom in general, there are secrets to be found and things to amaze.
That is one thing I LOVE about the internet. Turn your noise filters up, keep an open mind, and just look. Often you will find things that give you reason to love humanity.
And until you find those gems, you get to enjoy all the raw insanity. Slashfics, Rule34, jokes, snarking, some absolutely HORRIBLE porn, some absolutely face meltingly AWESOME Porn, and a bunch of cute or terrifying art. Is good to be alive.
