What happened to customer service

I went to Bristol Farms today for a beer run and I was checking out the butcher shop. They had some sirlon steaks that were about $9 a pound. They looked pretty big, so I asked the guy if they could cut me a half pound. They said they couldn't do it. Now Bristol Farms isn't a cheap place. It's not like it's a Walmart or anything. Do you keep a conservative appearance?

Sometimes peeps in retail esp. high end stores won't do "favors" for you if
they don't like the way you look . . .

It sucks royally . . .

I look like shit most of the time these but peeps here have
gotten used to me.

I always treat people kindly and with respect and
we don't go any place fancier than trader joe's.

I wasn't wearing shirt & tie, but I wasn't dressed like some hippy freak. I was in slacks and t-shirt.

But I love Trader Joe's. I live around the corner from one. But I was just close to the other store. And I usually try & treat people well.

i don't wear beads and tie-dye,but i have a long beard and long hair that get's disheveled easily.

our trader joe's is a neat that expanded recently to allow
*much* wider aisles.

I hope that I wasn't implying that you were wearing tie dye and beads. I was just saying I looked pretty "normal."

My biggest complaint about the Trader Joe's near my house is the parking. It's got a small lot and it's tough to get in there some times. Especially late in the afternoon
