Good Morning? I think?
Well, its almost 11am. I have been home about half an hour give or take from the madness that is the day after Thanksgiving shopping. I wish I could have gotten more excited over some of the doorbusters, but there was only one I would have considered risking life and limb for and it would have been something cool. That isn't to say I didn't buy a few doorbuster items. I bought an MP3 player for $20 (and found out hubby had debated about getting me one for my birthday...oopsy.) I spent the giftcard that pete's stepmother gave me for my birthday already as well. I got a suede suit type jacket. Regularly $78, $29.97. Yes I did do some Christmas shopping before you think I did shopping for just me. I bought for my mom, goddaughter (try #2!) and a friend. I may have hubby too-but I have to wait and see on that.
So, I met Jen at....6am I think? And we walked around, did some shopping and talked. We left the mall a little after 7:30 am and headed over to Kohl's. Talk about crazy! Wow! The line wrapped around the store! We then meandered throughout the shops. Target was the craziest of the places we saw there. People EVERYWHERE! I left Jen at Kohl's and headed over to Joann's. I was soooo tempted to go into TRU-but with the line at Joann's I never made it. The parking lot for TRU was insane! I wasn't surprised, but still. I was glad that I'm not working there any longer after seeing that. I would have HATED today, I picked Jen up, we hit Aldi's then I took her home. I stopped to get gas and had a surprising experience. I pulled up to the pump reached in and got my debit card and had my hand on the handle and this face appears at my window. I jump! Then I roll down the window, look at the girl, she looks at me and we had one of those hesitant silences, then I said "Can you fill it up?" and she said sure. Funny that someone pumping my gas is such an experience. I can't remember if I have never not pumped my own gas. So weird, but nice (and no, it wasn't extra!) Then to McDonald's for breakfast for me and my sweetie and then home. And on the comp-I figure by noon I will crash. I am sooooo tired. I wanted to post and mess around for a bit before taking a nap. I'm trying to decide if I can talk pete into going out tonight. I'd like to get some more shopping done now that I've started it.
OKay-off to mess around for a bit. Just thought I'd give the Green Friday report.
