I apologize-I've been posting a lot lately. I have been sitting here contemplating whether or not I should turn this towards my fight with cholesterol-post what my diet is, etc. I am still horrible with the exercise thing - but I did laundry today so that was some movement - carrying baskets up and down, pulling heavy wet stuff out of the washer. I also was on my feet as I cooked dinner :) Okay-so I was on my butt a lot too. Tonite's recipe came from Recipezaar.com. It was supposed to use pork chops-but low and behold, I go tot he freezer-no pork chops. Hmmmmmmmmm. As much as I didn't want to, I impovised and used deer chops. Deer is probably slightly better for me anyways as it as all natural and not raised with lots of feed and fattened up. Anyways, so it was a foil packet meal involving potatoes, mushrooms, onions, the deer, garlic and seasonings. I actually thought it was pretty good. The meat came out juicy and tender and flavorful. The potatoes didn't work in the foil though-so if there's a next time, I may cook them separate. Tomorrow night's menu involves scallops-I may modify the recipe just slightly from the one I printed off-I haven't decided yet. I still have lots of healthy green stuff in the fridge that needs eaten too. Salads and cukes and sour cream. I like to cook anyways, so this is actually expanding my horizons again. I found a couple of cookbooks on amazon that I'm contemplating purchasing-but its getting harder and harder to justify print cookbooks if i can find stuff on different websites. But the cookbook is called "Low Cholesterol Cookbook for Dummies" and there's also one out there by the AHA. So I have to think about it. I've blown my allowance for the month.
If I didn't mention it in a previous post-I finally finished the air dragona nd now I am almost done with the dragon of spirit. I'll have two more after that. Then I have a kitty one I want to do. I have a lengthy list like I've said before of projects, but we'll see what I get too as I also want to start getting my baby quilts worked on here soon.
Well, I'm off to go finish the last load of laundry and to watch the Simpsons.
As always, thanks for reading-have a great week!
