Looking back, it looks like i haven't done a real update in a while. That might be because no news is good news, but that isn't the case. Life has been utterly chaotic lately, between family things, working on quilts, doing book reviews, etc.
Maybe I don't have all that much to write about. I've posted the important news. Our new neice, Pete's new toy. Pete's brother graduated from PTI. It was at Soldier's and Sailors in Oakland. Pete couldn't go, but I went. It was a nice graduation ceremony. The hall was beautiful. After reading up on Soldiers and Sailors (so I could find out where I'm going), I think I may have to take a trip down there someday and check out the museum part of it (
http://www.soldiersandsailorshall.org/) It sounds interesting. But of course, add that to the list. I want to go to the Pittsburgh History Museum and haven't made it there yet. Someday....
We booked the flights for our vacation yesterday. That's a little over a month away. I'm excited in some respects. We're going out to the great Pacific Northwest. It should be pretty and I'll get to meet up with some people who I've talked to online for a while (the head of my review site lives in Seattle area and of course,
mdhenryis out there too :). And I'm also going to research quilt shops and stuff while we're out there, just because. Not that I need another project :)
I'll be in Chicago for a couple of days in two weeks for work. Training, but it will be cool. My boss and one of my other co-workers are going, so it should be a fun time. (personally, I'm waiting to see if the office will burn down since my one co-worker who doesn't do much will be the only one here).
For the holiday, went up to my parents trailer in Kittaning area. It was nice and relaxing. I didn't drink with the rest of them, but that's okay. I still enjoyed myself. And then Saturday, we took our time coming back. We meandered over to Erasers in Butler and did some Go-karting. Pete kicked my butt (no surprise there). So a nice relaxing weekend.
Next Tuesday, my dad is putting his 79 Monte Carlo in its first car show (

So as you can see, I've been a busy girl. I've been trying to fit reviews and quilting in between everything, but its been difficult to get anything done. Although I feel like i've done lots of reading. This is what my list is up to:
45) Bride Portal by Michele Bardsley
46) ReVamped by Crystal Bright
47) Candy for Valentine for Michele Bardsley
48) Accidentally Dead by Dakota Cassidy
49) Life Without Raine by Michele Bardsley
50) The Becoming by Jeanne Stein
51) Shadow Lies by Dawn Montgomery (this was 14 pages...lol)
52) The Collettes: Sola by Dahlia Rose
Currently Reading:
1) The Darkest Pleasure by Gena Showalter
2) Devon Falls:Fiery Magic by Raine Delight
I'm getting somewhere on the T-shirt quilt too, so I'm excited about that. But this week won't be conducive to working on it much between Gram's b-day, pinball and a b-day party on Saturday.
Crazy. Oh well. back to work. I have a lot to do since we're taking that trip in two weeks.
As always, thanks for stopping by!
