Well.
So I got deferred from Yale. I mean, yes, it sucks. Even though I had been expecting the worst, it's a little hard not to envision yourself at that school when you apply early. And yes, now I have OMG so much work to do over break.
On the other hand, I guess I'm a little proud for at least getting deferred. I mean, it's freaking Yale for God's sake, what was I expecting? If that school thinks that I could potentially contribute something, then I guess there's hope for me elsewhere. And my friend who I consider the ideal college applicant got deferred as well. Even though I actually really really wish she got in, it's nice to know that we're sorta in the same group, if that makes sense.
A lot of my friends got deferred/rejected, more than I expected. It was weird finding out though because while everybody was at home talking with each other I was at a basketball tournament receiving the news like every hour through phone calls. For those of you who have yet to go through applications: it's a very weird process, that's all I'll say.
Anyhow, watched The Office. Ummmm FANTASTIC. In fact, so fantastic that I'll make a seperate post after lunch.
