She's Home!

Olive broke out of the joint on tuesday. By Wednesday, she was already making plans likely to get her sent right back.
We went to see the pediatrian on Wednesday and it turns out, in addition to her umbilical hernia (belly-button outties are hernias... who knew?), she's got a groinal hernia which will require surgery to fix. She's also got cysts on her ovaries. Poor baby! No wonder she's fussy.
Andrew and I have been taking shifts taking care of her. She can't be laid down for 45 min after her feedings which are every 3 hours and go for about 45 minutes. She's taking to sleeping on shoulders, which is surprizingly comfortable and relaxing... a dangerous combination for sleep-deprived parents. As my sister Dina said, first you are sleep-deprived (from spending every spare moment at the hospital to feed her), then they hand you a newborn.
She's a cutie though. She's even cuter when she's not in massive abdominal pain. We think the hernia is contributing to her bloating. As I've had both the painful bloating and the ovarian cysts, both of which had me doubled over in pain, landing me in the hospital for the first, and almost there for the latter... thinking I had appendicitis. I can't imagine having both at the same time. I'd wake up screaming too!
Okay falling asleep with vavy on shoulder.... eyes crosing going sleep now
