so dec was pretty much a wash in the nofatnattie quest. what with the death of a friend, a house guest for most of the month, lots of driving and thinking i was about to die from ick, i'm surprised i only gained a few pounds, all but about 1.5 of which i've already pooped out the poophole. i'm also coming out of whatever mental ick i was in over the past month. heh.
next week, we're starting a fat-off at work (thanks to g's precedent). i thought we'd only have 4, but as the word spreads, we might even get 8 ppl. whoop de whoop! my goal is 25 lbs or getting back into size 6 jeans by the end of May, just in time for a trip (hopefully) to dominica. i'm still drinking less, like maybe once a week. eating 5-6 times a day. got back on the cooking train too. need to find creative ways to work in more cardio. j & i are going inline skate & heart rate monitor shopping on sat & have one skating date down for sunday. i just get SO FUCKING BORED on treadmills & stairmasters, even with music.
oh yea, i'm a pothead again, sorta. (thanks a lot E!)
via positive review by a Very Smart Man, and post-discussion reading of a bunch of stuff i don't quite understand, i'm going to start taking an ALCAR/ALA supplement (google for infoz). will report on positive/negative effects later.
disco's morning walks are frustrating. i can control her when one dog is around, but sometimes we'll pass 2 dogs in a row or (god forbid) four and each time she ramps up a little more until it's really difficult to get her to lay down and submit to me. our dog trainer has helped a lot with walking on lead and just getting her to generally pay more attention to us outside. it's just not don't a whole lot for the dog aggression thing. i know it's only been a month, half of which was a wash due to things already mentioned, but i'm ready to make a video & send it to cesar.
on an up note, getting up earlier to exercise disco in the a.m. has def had a positive impact on my energy levels & sleeping habits (though that could also be the p o t). i hate getting out of bed but by the time we're back from the walk and i've worked up a little sweat, i'm a lot more energetic. however, i need to figure out how to control it when i get to work b/c i'm so freaking hyper lately.
what else? i dunno. i'm done rambling for now. :)
