Weekend Activities

Spent the weekend busy up here. Yesterday I went out to Litchfield National Park on a tour. I held a crocodile (okay it was only a small 3 year old croc and it's mouth was kept closed but still i held a croc), we also did a river cruise and made the crocs jump for their food and spent some time at two sets of waterfalls and a couple of swimming holes which was awesome. Considering how hot it's been the last couple of days swimming at the Park was great.

Today I spent most of the morning walking around the harbour. I went down to the WW2 oil tunnels and went through them which were interesting. Then wandered around the mall before coming back to the hotel and meeting up with the Yuppie Country Boy and going to the Muesem and Art Gallery of Northern Territory. It's a nice museum and best of all it was free. The best part was when I was a kid I loved Animalia by Graeme Base. The museum actually has all the original artwork from his latest book so seeing his paintings large and on a wall was amazing. From there we moved on to the East Point reserve which had some awesome views. The Military museum there was closed so we'll go back next week but it was worth it just to walk around the reserve. We ended the day by picking up The Team Mum and then going back to the Mindil Markets for dinner. All in all I had a good weekend.
