Wise Decisions?

I seem to have discovered the source of the phaser fire that Ambassador Garak discovered in the underground garage some time ago. Apparently the managers of the hotel have saw fit to also include Gul Dukat as a resident of their fine establishment...as for if that was a wise decision it remains to be seen.
I was unaware of Dukat's presence until he saw fit to blast his way into the room of Detective Ray Kowalski of the 21st century. Maybe it was not my place to become involved, but I was not about to stand by and watch two men kill each other over the matter of simple name calling.
Detective Kowalski must not think too highly of me now...and I know with certainty that neither does Dukat, which is only natural given what records I've seen on him.
That being said, I looked into Garak's advice and sought medical assistance with Doctor Bashir. I wish now that I had reconsidered the notion, given the shock the doctor had expressed at news of the forth coming future. I should not have crossed the Prime Directive so erroneously...but if I keep on this path of apparent self destruction I might become a threat to the other tenants of the hotel.
I have forgone sleep aids at this time, but taken medication to apatite. I hope that through careful meditation on the notes I recorded in my log for vision quests...that I might be able to seek out my animal guide. Such methods have worked for Captain Chakotay before during times of tribulation in his life.
