My weekend...
I had a busy weekend... Saturday J worked with the neighbor on a roofing job for some extra money. I watched the little girl that lives next door for her mom who called and said she was on her way home. Her grandmother dropped her off. I ended up having her for over 3 hours, and she went home only when J and her DH came home from work. He was pretty ticked, and he confided in J and I that she is hooked on pills and who knows what else again. If that wasn't bad enough, she's pregnant and due 2 days after I would have been. Stupid Bitch.
Anyway, Sunday we went grocery shopping while the kids were at church. Once they were home we went to a house around the corner and picked up a daybed for Destiny. Yay! Freecycle. :o) Then we came home and while J took it easy for a bit, I mowed the front yard. After dinner we took the kids to the local fair. It was insane how much money we spent. For the first time ever, they now charge $5 a person aged 4 and older to get in. Then, it was $18 for each bracelet for unlimited rides. We could have bought individual tickets, but they were $1 each and the rides were 3-4 tickets a ride... Unbelievable. Since we didn't know about the $5 a person, we had to literally scrape change to get in. Needless to say, we didn't get any cotton candy or funnel cake.
The kids last day of school is exactly one month from today... I am counting down the days, as are the kids :o)
