Grumpy post is grumpy

I had lots of things planned for this weekend. On Saturday, I intended to sleep until I woke up (yay!), do laundry and have a leasurely breakfast before heading in to London, in search of nice but expensive tea, ending the evening at the post-wedding reception of D&M from the LGMG. Sunday also included sleep until I woke up, with an added possibility of looking at the clock, turning over and falling asleep again, lunch at a coffee shop, and writing a bit on either the essay or the recent report I'm doing for work.

Saturday went almost according to plan. Found the tea at the third retailer on my list, so not too bad, even if it meant running all over central London. Could have done with an afternoon nap, though. I'm awfully behind on my sleep. The meetup was fun, and I got to meet people I hadn't seen in a while. The drawback was that the reception venue had only one room, so the music was a bit too loud for talking unless the two persons were focussed on each other. Being a third person listening was a bit difficult.

All plans for Sunday has been scrapped. After sleeping six hours I was brutally woken up by council workers, who are doing some road repair work outside my window. I'm sort of grateful they waited drilling into the asphalt until 9am, but still... I feel semi-sentient, and I'm not even sure I can drag myself into the shower so I can head out for lunch. And I'm another day behind on my writings.

lgmg, tea, oh woe is me
