I think Google News is playing $20,000 Pyramid with me, because these are the top ten "In the News" topics currently listed there:
Crystal Bowersox
Lee DeWyze
Art Linkletter
Mark Zuckerberg
Silvia Mena
Biggest Loser
Sandra Bullock
Dino Rossi
Albert Haynesworth
Orlando Magic
Topics I don't care about! Things that shouldn't be news! Distractions from important stories! Things that it depresses me to know are important to others! Things that are largely irrelevant! Stuff that isn't news! Um...um...things having to do with sex and/or television! Things that--BZZZZZ
And that's the story of how M. McGregor played $20,000 Pyramid with the Google. In losing, he has forfeited his right to read actual important news, and will spend the rest of his life reading People magazine.
"NOOOOOO!!!"
And that's when M. McGregor awoke, safe in bed, the nightmare of horribly inane news stories fading away from his thoughts. He clutched at his blankie and stared up at the ceiling, wondering if he might ever truly find himself in a world that considered the winner of a game show to be headline news. Then the worries faded from his mind, and he fell back into a deep, peaceful sleep.
And that's when it turned out there was something on the wing of the plane!
mac is a snob,
random complaining,
random insanity
