working some more...

Back on my sales job again.  It's funny, a woman calls in about this watch we have with interchangeable gemstones for about $29.00.  She's like, "Those aren't REAL gemstones are they? They can't be at that price."  Well, I didn't know (guessing they weren't because they seemed rather large, and usually large gemstones equal fake gemstones).  So, I told her I didn't know, looked up the description (it didn't say), so I offered to talk to sales assist for her.  The woman at sales assist didn't really know either, but she figured they probably weren't real, so I told the lady so.

"Oh, well, it's looks pretty, but never mind."  And then she hung up.

I'm like what the hell???  Why did she even bother calling if she already thought it wasn't real and had no intention of buying it.

Grrr.

Also gotten a few of the "I'm in a hurry people".  Boy, I love those.  People who call up and give their information REAL fast, and want you to put everything in blinding speed as though you're an inconvinence for them.  Even had this one women once when I was taking to long to type in things she's like, "Can we hurry this up please?"  I always just want to go, "Hey, if I'm going to slow, why don't you call back some other time?" and hang up on their asses.

But, you know like any job working with the public, you get all kinds.  I've got sweet old ladies who'll go on and on about this and that during the order.  People with heavy accents that i somehow stumble on through, people who've told me how nice I was and that i had a pleasant voice.  Even a few crazy prank calls.  Can't say all the shifts are the same, that's for sure...

people, phone calls, phone job, work
