Another weird dream
Stupid dreams...
Had this dream last night (actually it was about three nights ago, I wrote this earlier and am just now posting it). In the dream, I went to a reunion amongst the people I went to elementary school with or, more accurately, the first elementary school I went to Logan Elementary (in fifth grade I moved from Illinois to Missouri.) What was weird (well, among other things) is I somehow recognized most of the people, even though I haven't seen any of them in nearly twenty years, although in the dream I never their faces, I couldn't couldn't remember any names. In addition, they were all being jerks to me, mocking and calling me names, at one point I'd taken off my shoes (although that must have happened “off camera” so to speak) and someone hid them.
No freaking idea what brought this dream about... I mean, yeah, I think about my childhood a lot, and several months back was trying to find a way to track down a yearbook from when my elementary school days (I think I threw mine away, but that's another story...) I suppose part of the input for this dream came from a conversation I had with a co-worker the other week about high school reunions. She said she attended hers briefly, commenting, “So, I'm standing there and the same people who were looking down their noses at me in high school were looking down at me now, so I said, 'Screw this, Lou we're leaving!' and that's what he did.’”
So, I dunno, maybe a combination of those things was stirring around in my subconscious and that’s what caused this latest weirdass dream to pop up.
Or maybe it just something I ate.
