I thought I'd already commented... I actually came back this morning having just rewatched Cold again and thought "I must follow up my comment on this vid by saying I'm still loving it weeks later, more than ever..." only to find I hadn't said anything to start with. It's official - I suck.
So, where to start? Well... I love this video. I can tell that you've beaten the hell out of the clips to get as much out of them as you can; the effort and energy that went into making this is obvious. The first time I watched it, it was almost overwhelming just how many clips, how many moments from the pilots ffakked-up relationship are packed into such a short period of time and music... but the second time I watched it, suddenly everything was making complete sense. That's exactly how their relationship works. THe theme is the same, the pain and frustration and love and lust and anger and raging and feeling that runs between them is the melody, the complete ensemble... ( ... )

How many times should I tell you that you’re free to comment when there’s a combination of the free time and mood factor? :) And people’s comments mean much more to me when they respond because they want too and not because courtesy or something else doesn’t permit them otherwise. I’m not that kind of person who gets offended, I’m already very glad if you watched the vid. Verbal expression of your impressions is great and it’s honey to any fiction writer’s or vidmaker’s soul, but words aren’t the first thing that matters in the process.

I'm stubborn and self-deprecating past the point of sanity. Hence the constant apologising. On the upside, it stops me becoming unplesantly egotistical. On the downside, it makes me annoying. I'll try and keep a grip on it.

I loved it- like seeing a barrage of imagery descending that you can't try and track or control, just like the pilot dynamic. The second time I watched the video, I was expecting it - it made me want to stop and study all the flashed scenes, particularly around the 45 second mark, see what was lurking that I'd missed, try to follow the time of the frozen scenes, see how that changed teh music and what it made me concentrate on.

I do. Constantly. It's something that gives me no faith. But you have no doubts in Lee’s feelings, right? And I’d assume you didn’t have any when the whole Lee/Dee story began to come about ( ... )

In a word, no. Your video is great. You couldn't have made it without the scenes you used - the pixellation is just an annoying side-effect from the source footage. It's not worth losing time or sleep over. Make videos. Exercise your talent, indulge it, share it.
Oh, I´ve forgotten you´re out of the fandom now.Thank you for the verbal slapping you gave me recently. It was certainly enough to get me out of my own head for a little while - particularly given that I'm now feeling extremely guilty for having caught you in the fall out from my latest bout of childish insanity.
