Good morning! Well, we all just got back from Fall Break after finishing one trimester. Finals week was a lot of fun and finals ended up being pretty easy, not too many curve balls. Somehow the grade for my Physics final got severely inflated but I can't complain.
I got home Thursday night of exam week because my last exam was that morning and it took all of 30 minutes (a basic engineering course). Bryson (another guy up here from VB) and I got on earlier flights (by about 7 hours) and were able to get on the ground in VB by about 1 that afternoon. My dad and I stopped by my mom's office to suprise her - and apparently the rest of the office, too... I didn't really do too much during the break, just enjoyed being home thoroughly. We finished the engine rebuild on the stbd. engine of our boat as I bolted the engine back together and my dad did all the fabrication for things like a new motor mount and mounting plate. Amazingly they both started up and we had the rest of the week to take it out and run it. Went out to ODU and spend the night with Blake and Brandon and met a lot of cool people. Normal college is pretty awesome! We took the plane up to Williamsburg for lunch on Saturday and flew over the Reserve Fleet to try to get a couple shots of the Savanna (first and only nuclear powered merchant ship)...shame she's just sitting there rotting.
Well, nothing has really happened since I got back here. Pretty much every plebe in my company moved rooms. I ended up with my room mate I had from indoctrination on the top floor, 2 man room with water view...not too shabby. All of the sophomores and juniors are different because the other half of their classes headed out to sea as they came back from their sea terms. Other than that, nothing has really changed here. We had yesterday off to prepare for this trimester. We also have leave/liberty this week from our last class on Wednesday until 7 PM Thursday in honor of Veteran's Day. Looks like a bunch of us will be headed to the city... Anyways, that's it for now - drop me a note!
