I just helped rescue a bewildered house martin chick. It was so cuuuute.
Looked like it had tried to do a bit of flying but couldn't and got stuck on a window ledge below the nest at perfect dog eating height. We put him top of a street sign and mum and dad promptly returned so he should be ok.

Awwww.

I went (with work) to Spain to a nice resort called Atalaya Park on the coast near Marbella. It was fun, had lots of nice food and wine and champagne and lounged by (and in) the pool, had lunch outdoors, saw lots of beautiful people, cars and boats in Puerto Banus (upmarket marina town, think spanish monaco) and stayed up really late ( Read more... )

Just bought myself an iPaq h4150. Was considering a nokia 6600 or a Treo but the iPaq is about the same cost (as the 6600) and does so much more (plus I can use my existing phone as a bluetooth modem to connect to net over GPRS). I got half a gig of SD memory for it too so I can fit lots of tomtom maps and mp3s etc on it ( Read more... )

I'm really tempted to get an iPaq/tomtom satnav system. It will cost me about 500 notes but it's super-toy-tastic and will probably stop any navigation related fights from happening on holiday ( Read more... )
