Hello world.

My Apartment
I got a hamster from Parkland College a little while back. I named him "Samwise". He's very smart for a hamster. I like him.

I also have a computer and a monitor at my apartment, now (Thank you, Matthew... even though I know that you don't read LiveJournal anymore). I'm just waiting for a keyboard and mouse (which my grandfather said he would get me for Christmas).

My Family
My little brother was put in the Pavilion last Friday and it's been very interesting. They're letting me in, on the second floor (where their short-term, youth patients are), even though I'm not eighteen yet. Someone from the family has had to go into the Pavilion every night and put Justice to bed (which is unusual for the Pavilion). There are some nice people and there are some head-cases there. Justice is doing remarkably well, which makes this a case for possibly institutionalizing him long-term someday.

My Jobs
As most of you know I've been working at JoAnn's Fabric store and the Savoy 16. I am scheduled to work forty hours at the Savoy 16 this week, and I'm not sure how many hours I'm working at JoAnn's. In short, it's going to be a long week. But, hey... 'tis the season to be broke and I need the hours.

Me
I haven't been sleeping well lately and I'm really tired of taking so many medications. I've been having ridiculous food cravings for about two weeks now and it's starting to get annoying. But, overall, I'm a much happier person. I think the feeling that I'm finally on my own, and somewhat free of my family is really beginning to set in.

I guess that's the long and short of it for now.
