Sucked in

So late last Friday I finally responded to this friend I have who keeps telling me to check out her facebook. She was very persuasive. So I'm on Facebook. I obsessed over how much of myself I was willing to put up for all to see. There is a comfortable anonymity on LJ. I decided to focus on my theatre activities. I spent a healthy amount of time updating enough to have something to look at. What I did not expect to find so many old classmates. I found myself Wednesday night chatting with two friends I haven't seen since High School over pictures someone posted of 4th and 5th grade. Turns out my timing was eerily perfect as a quasi-reunion was taking place this week as many old friends migrated back to parents in Cincinnati. My chat resulted in many "friends requests" from my high school class. The whole thing has me thinking I really need to spring for a scanner and dig out some old shoebox pictures. But then again... Is it rude to think "You guys weren't really friends with me in HS, why are you hitting me up on facebook?"

I need to chill on it. Between gchat,lj, and now facebook, I am feeling the suction from the intrawebz. I'm excited to reconnect with people I fell out of contact with. (BTW both my HS girlfriends have pages) But I have shit to do. ****ten minutes later*** "I can do it later".

My parents moved to Indy after I got married, so this weekend I'm headed down in that direction. My Cincy brother will be in Akron with his in-laws. So a Cincy reunion will have to wait until xmas.
