Torri's been reduced to a few and as yet unnumbered episodes.
Is that what the unnamed drama has been about?

In a nutshell, yes. There's so other smaller issues but it all seems to the same whining :\

I thought it was something major...like Teyla's actress was leaving the show and they were going to replace her with another actress (to play Teyla).

Oh God! that would be terrible. Yeah, this post has nothing to do with major, in my opinion. I'm still watching both shows regardless and with no hard feelings.

Glad to hear about the clause! If it's true, it's kind of sad. But of the characters, Addison is the most likely to have her own show, mostly because she isn't connected to any of the other characters. The interns are the interns, so they have to stay. Derek and Mer are a couple, Bailey is still a resident, so she wouldn't be going anywhere. Burke and Christina are a couple. So that leaves Addison. Yes, I'm a little biased, because I adore Addison, but it also makes sense that she gets the spin off.

Hopefully all this stuff is just baseless gossip.

Yes, that's the way I feel too. The interns are the least likely to get their own spin off while they're still interns. It might be interesting to see spin offs when they finally have a specialty and all that but that's still a ways off.

Burke getting a spin off/leaving would just be stupid idea, no matter what the actor's past actions were. All these characters are integral but sadly Addison seems the best possible choice.

See, I hate what TPTB have done to the character of Samantha Carter over the past 6 years and THAT is why I don't want her contaminating Atlantis. And with our luck we'll end up with one (or more) of the writers trying to create unbelievable UST/shippage between her and John, or Rodney (UST on her part, not his), and that just breaks my heart.

But I have absolutely nothing against Amanda. In fact, I wish TPTB would give more thought to creating another Stargate show and making her the star of THAT. But hire new writers to take Sam back and make her the way she used to be before season 4.

Also: Addison and Callie rock my world. Go strong women who know what they want, and when they've messed up, who don't WHINGE ON AND ON AND ON and omg the PAIN. Emo overload. Ack.

Horrible, horrible me actually WANTED Mere to not wake up, just so I don't have to suffer through that anymore. Yes, I watch for the pretty and for EVERYONE ELSE'S storyline.

I can deal with Sam in a non-ship capacity on Atlantis. I've watched minimal SG1 and remember almost nothing so I can't/won't speculate on her character.

It's very apparent the writers have issues writing females so I'm not hopeful about Sam being all the great in her SGA eps but I'll remain open minded about her, Keller and Weir's minimal appearances until I see the episodes.

And, Callie And Addison are my faves on Grey's. Meredith totally owns the emo whiny overload thing.

I wish Mer had croaked too but it doesn't ruin the show for me that she didn't, I guess. I watch for Addison/Callie/Cristina and the man pretty that is Derek/Alex ^_^

I whole heartedly agree my dear.... If one more of those nits talk about Teyla's boobs and how she's a alien slut, I will go off my rocker.! Do they no remember Trek and the cat suits of doom? How can they say Teyla is over-sexualised?
