HAPPY GOTH IS A WINNER

On Friday I went to Ministry for Epedemik's payback. I went with Max and we got smashed. Whilst there I saw Lolly and little Laura. Apparently I know Georgia too, but I didn't remember her. Here's what I wrote on DSI because I can't really be arsed to write it all again:

I have never got into the music more than I did last night.

First set I saw was Danish Mike, and was really chuffed because I actually had enough space to dance and yet there were still others dancing around me. The Jungle was excellent, but unfortunatly, I thought the MC really ruined this set and I found myself getting pissed off because I couldn't hear the music properly. Did anyone else get this too, or was I just being grumpy?

Next I saw Vinyl Vera and GMagickal who dropped some wicked old skool and got everyone dancing. The crowd, I thought, were particuarly friendly for this set, egged on by the Mistress herself Vinyl Vera and her legendary horns.

Ratpack, as always were on top form, everyone was bouncing and they played all the classic tunes.

After that things get a bit Hazy, I caught a bit of Ellis Dee but was a bit too dizzy to really pay any attention. Saw a bit of Nicky Blackmarket, and again with more classic tunes. Nicky Blackmarket was the man who got me into drum n bass and I've never yet managed to see him play for various reasons, despite the fact that he has played at almost every event I've been to for the last two years! As a first timer at the front of the drum n bass room, I have to say I fucking loved it!

Overall a top night, however I still remain dubious to Ministry as a venue. Previously, I have only been to Ministry for student nights, and although this was very different, I still lack enthusiasm for the club. The security presence is often overwhelming and the atmosphere ruined with constant pushing, shoving and shining of torches. I undestand that the club has had a recent security scare, but this could be dealt with in a more subtle way.
As with most London clubs, drinks prices were extortionate, I paid £3 for a bottle of water. (The bar person actually appologised! I think the look on my face said it all!)
At the cloakroom, signs on the walls invite you to ask their 'helpful' staff for advice on membership. I personally found the staff less than helpful and at times even rude.

Someone told me that this was Epedemik's last event and I really hope that it isn't true, because I will definatly go again, and get all of my friends to come too! Cheers everyone for a top night and I hope to see you again soon!

Also, I remember seeing Billy Munter. I did a balloon and put my head in a speaker and everything got reaaaaaaaaaal slow and I must have nearly passed out. It was amazing. *sensible* Munter played loads of good old skool ahrdcore but I was too gone to dance. I danced to Funky Louse with Everson Allen and he ditched me for a blonde girl, but I didn't care because VV gave me another balloon. I had to go home buzzing my arse off, and I wrote a song in the shower. About me. Living on a farm.

Yesterday I woke up at 1pm and thought about going for dinner. I couldn' be arsed, so me and Fernzy Boy got a curry and I watched Finding Neverland. It made me piss. THE DOG WAS SO FLUFFY YES HE WAS.

That's about it really.

Oh and my phone is fucked. Gooood.
