my feet carried me along a moon lit beach
i could hear the sounds of my friends playing soft songs
as the notes echoed off the walls of the hotel that stood so massive in front of me
i felt a comfort in my momentary solitude
where I could just listen to the sounds and feel the sweet breeze on my cheeks
as I dug my feet in various directions into the sand
I felt that any worries were then washed away with the crashing sounds of the waves
my body carried me to the water and I sunk my feet in as I did with the sand
staring out into the blanket of darkness illuminated by the light of the moon
i watched the waves gently brush my legs
the water seemed so cool and clear, not like salt water at all
my only words, "hello mum"
the air was so fresh around me
though my mind was clear my thoughts were racing
I stood there staring at the waves all moving towards me in there song
and then the clouds zooming past in the opposite direction up above
and for the first time I ever
I felt that I was moving with the world while my body didn't move at all
