...I had such wonderful plans of going to sleep early tonight, but ended up basically passing out on the couch a little after my driving lesson and am trying to make up for lost time. Also trying not to think about what this means for my horrendous sleeping habits.

The second Investigations trailer can be found
here, and it's almost identical to the first, apart from the middle segment.
The first part is still Edgeworth investigating the murder in his office with Gumshoe and going through the whole logic system. I must admit to laughing hilariously when Edgeworth says 'And THAT'S how I get results!' I have no idea why. Maybe because it makes him sound like he's advertising some sort of laundry detergent.
Anyway, the middle segment, which is new for the trailer. Franziska and Edgeworth meet at the airport. I find myself analysing character interaction from a trailer. FML. It's just that JFA Franziska and Post T&T Franziska are different when I write them, and because most of Franziska's screentime is in JFA, I keep getting pangs of 'am I doing it right'. So, yeah. xD;
von Karma: I go where I am needed. And wherever there are criminals to be caught.
Why does this line make me so happy. Why. It's giving me confidence in my characterisation.
And then she whips Gumshoe. Nothing new there.
Then a timeskip.
Edgeworth: Objection!
Edgeworth: What do you mean by "seen"?
von Karma: Please stop pretending like you don't know. It's insulting.
fffff
von Karma: Let's not complicate things and go with the most obvious solution.
And this is why Franziska von Karma lost 2-3.
And why does it greatly amuse me whenever Edgeworth presents evidence in his trailer, he uses his prosecutor's badge?
I mean.
Edgeworth: This piece of evidence perfectly exposes the flaw in your logic!
Is like saying, "OBJECTION! Hey, sis, I'm a prosecuting attorney!"

Then they're at the airport again.
von Karma: Hah! I don't need a lecture on how to perform my duties from you of all people! "To be perfect in every way." The fulfillment of that creed alone is all I strive for!
Oh, Franziska. What are we going to do with you. I'm not sure if it makes me happy or sad to see the von Karma creed brought up again. I think Investigations is not going to do amazing things in terms of Franziska's character development (then again, I suspected it wouldn't). People who have played the Japanese version of the game have said that she seems basically the same, and appears as a contrast to Edgeworth's more truth-oriented ideals by the time of AAI. I think it's a sign of her journey being a lot more prolonged; writing her in several different stages of her life has shown that she is making progress, but, she's not going to be able to uproot herself in a year. She's not Miles Edgeworth. She never will be. And that, too, is something she's going to have to learn to deal with, though I'll doubt she'll ever have much prominence in Ace Attorney canon again.
I am very much looking forward to the localization of AAI-4 and seeing how Manfred interacts with the kids (Yes, bratwurst Bratworth, you are a kid) and how they interact with each other. And just. I want to examine all the subtext now ;_;.
In other news, I think Kay's making a better first impression on me than Maya did. It took me a while to grow to like Maya.
Kay: I'm Mr. Edgeworth's assistant, Kay Faraday!
Gumshoe: Wh-Whaaaaaat!?
...
Kay: Sorry, but I just stole your supporting role.
Oh, Kay. haha did you see the punny there How dare you get in the way of Gumshoe and Edgeworth's bromance.
In conclusion: I think I'm going to like this game.
