It hit me today on the drive home that I'm not a teenager anymore.
Whoo! Been productive.
I got to class a bit early today, so I was sat in the hall and worked on our ad copy for class. I ended up writing two bits of copy, and presented them to my group. They liked them! So we're going to refine it a bit more the next time we meet, and hopefully it'll be all good. :D Looks like copywriting just might be my thing.
Logic is going SO well. I'm actually really getting it, I think. I like philosophy. It's a little tough at first to separate reason from it (such as the fact that if an argument has false premises and a false conclusion, it's still a valid argument. It's a bad argument, but it's valid), but I think I've got it. We have a quiz on Wednesday, so we'll see how that goes.
I had a medium iced latte coupon, so I went across to the Dunkin to get one. Mmm mocha swirl. The vet's office had called Saturday to say that Dylan's ashes were back, so I stopped there to pick them up. It's actually a really nice "urn". Black tin with a gold wreath design on the front that says "Always remembered". Being morbid, I opened it up to see what was inside (and to make sure they actually included the ashes). A little note about the importance of pets and love that was actually very sweet, a certificate of cremation, a lot of styrofoam, then at the bottom was a little vacuum sealed packet. Much smaller than I expected, to be honest. So now the urn is sitting on the shelf next to my computer, next to my perfume box. Closure feels good.
Came home to pick up a few imps I had to ship, then back out to the post office to get that done. Home again, I called in my prescription for refill, put Gatsby in his new runner ball (which he seems to be enjoying more now, he's at least rolled to the front hall), checked in on my PSCI group discussion board, and now I'm off to clean up my desk area and such. Laaa.
I'm getting all this excited energy now that NaNoWriMo is so soon... I should probably get everything clean before it starts and I don't have time. :P
