Awhile ago I was supposed to get a one-a-day pill to help with migraines. Something stupid happened at the pharmacy, I had just worked a long over night shift, and I just gave up. Mirena might not be covered by my health insurance. This is incredibly depressing. Also, the lady I talked to today was not super helpful. I think she may have just been bored with me, since she's primarily a midwife and I'm not having a baby. Ow. Bits of me are swollen and very sore. Any change in position takes a long time - standing up, sitting down, moving from point A to point B. But I'm ok! Ultrasound went fine. Everything looks pretty much exactly the way it did last year. But this year, I have health insurance, so I can actually do something about it. I have to wait until June for my pre-op appointment, but at least the ball is rolling.

How can this be? I just found out that the band behind "Valley Winter Song" (my new favorite since I heard it on 93.9 back in December) is Fountains of Wayne. So I need to have surgery. And they aren't sure how much healthy ovarian tissue is even there anymore, so I might just lose the whole thing. I haven't gotten official results from the ultrasound yet (no phone call from the doctor) but the woman who did the ultrasounding (the smearing of jelly, the poking and prodding of my stomach and innards, etc.) told me that the left ovary is clear, uterus looks good, but the right ovary...yeah, there's something there.
