Today has been a positively awesome day. The weather, while not the greatest, is at least not snowing anymore, or hailing (fine, I was wrong about the snow advisory). I've gotten many compliments on my skirt, and 2 people in the last 2 days have said that I look like I've lost weight. Because of the cold snap, I was motivated to finish my other wrist warmer (I'm only wearing one, because I'm eating graham crackers with chai). I got a free chai, and I bought stuffing for the stuffed animals I'm making for C, W, and D. To make it even cooler, it has hologram tinsel in it. *o*! I don't need to go to Mom's place to do laundry, 'cause Eric called in a favor with a friend, so I can stay away from the drama. In just 30 minutes, I'll be done with work, and have the weekend free! I don't even have much homework this weekend. My friend Bandar invited me over for Arabic food tomorrow, I'll get to see Jessie again when I drop off her jacket, and Adam will be over at some point to watch Rome and BSG. Plus, Eric and I get to watch more SG-1, and I get to knit!
So far this week, I've finished knitting the other wrist warmer, knit over half a sleeve on my short bolero jacket, and knit the tail of Crystal's dragon. Now that I have the stuffing, I can start Whitney's nautilus, too (since it needs to be stuffed as I knit).
Ooh, and I've had 3 foreign language convos today, 2 of which made me feel really smart, and the other that made me feel really dumb. My friend Olivier has a habit of speaking French wicked fast, so I only got maybe half of what he said. >.<# That, and he guilted me about not knitting anything for him. >.<## But my French talk with Dr. Locey was fabulous, and I impressed three Japanese students by asking "Daijobou desu ka?" *snorts* Ah, Japanese people, how I love them.
So, have a fabulous weekend everyone,
Love, Lyssa
