Yesterday, March 27, 2010, was the second day of u-Kiss here at the Philippines and I’ve witnessed them along with a friend and three new friends that we’ve met on their promotional tour. It was really a unique experience and special experience. It was my first time to see a KPop band with my own eyes and its u-Kiss! I love them but I love SS501 more *hee hee*. Seeing Hyung Jun’s dongsaeng, Ki Bum, was a great honor since Hyung Jun asked us to take care and support his dongsaeng and the group.
We left our city around 8:30 and arrived around 11:00 at the venue. We were pretty lucky to be able to buy the CD and I was the 107th buyer and I am the 107th fan to have the privilege to meet and greet them face-to-face, have my CD signed, chat with them for a sec and shake hands with them. Weeee, feeling so excited already when we bought the CD. My friend was the 108th. The venue was still jam packed for there was a graduation ceremony and the staff told us that the venue will be opened at 2:00.
My friend and I decided to buy batteries for my camera and several other things since we still have three hours to wait. We walked around the mall for a while and we ate our lunch around 12:30. When we finished our meal we were looking for a store but sadly the mall does not have that store. We were walking around the 2nd floor and we took a peak on the event center and dang! There was a long line already. Sheesh, we were thankful that we already had our lunch. It’s reasonable to see a long line already an hour before the gates are open, fans can’t wait to see them, right?
While on the line, we took several pictures and we talked to the Korean girl behind us because we thought she was going alone. She was really pretty and friendly. Later, the gates were open and I was pulling the Korean girl along with me for there were some people cutting on the line. Well, after we got in we met few people, maybe a year older than us and they were asking if we have any gifts. I had none because last Friday was our last day of examination and I didn’t have much time left to buy or prepare anything for them. My friend had a letter for Ki Bum (we’re both Ki Bum biased) but our new friend told us that we should buy one because on staff told her that we were personally giving them the gifts. At that moment we were surprised for that news. We then rushed to the department store to buy at least something for them. I was planning to buy a gift to each one of them but my money isn’t enough so I bought two key chains (one for Ki Bum and the other for Hyung Joon *blush*) and one miniature sized jeepney which was labeled with “Philippines” on the roof of the jeepney.
We rushed back to the event center when we finished wrapping our gifts. It was still early but the excitement of the fans can’t be stopped. Fans have lots of energy. We sat on the floor as we wait for the right time to arrive. Then, came along two young ladies, one probably a year older than us and one younger than us. We chatted along and had a great time. We told each other’s favorites and we’re moving our bodies along with the music while the music videos were being played on the small screen above the stage. It’s nice to meet such people. We’ve just met but u-Kiss made us close instantly.
Time flows by and bam! Around 5:00 there were already screams and yeah the boys arrived early for the event will start at 6:00. Few more checks before the event start. Mic check, stage safety check, video check, etc.
The right time has come and the emcee came out. Well, as you know fans are screaming their lungs out.
“Who’s your favorite Korean boy band?”
“U-KISS!”
It was loud despite the fact that the venue was not that jam packed but there were still a lot of fans around the event center. Since fans were pushing each other on the front we decided to watch at the back so we’ll have a clearer view of the boys and we can move freely back there even breathe better *hee hee*.
But before the boys got out there was an intermission number from PYT. They sang three songs and the fans didn’t scream or even applauded much. I just thought that they were conserving their energy for the boys. After the third song, the emcee came out again and hell yeah, it was the boys’ time to go out and perform.
Loud screams, cameras flashing, hands waving and everything else. The boys came out and positioned themselves for their performance. Their position was for “Bingeul Bingeul” but the song played was “Man Man Ha Ni” and the boys were like “Huh? Wait a sec it’s the wrong track”. Then Alexander *I think* said let’s do it again. And asked something like “Sorry about that, let’s do it again. Is it okay with you?” And fans yelled back. Of course it was alright to us as long as we see you perform. But this time, a few seconds and there was no track being played. Then Kevin *not sure, it's either him or Alexander* said “Can we have the music?” There was still no music; probably they were having technical difficulties.
Then the boys changed their position to “Man Man Ha Ni” and tadaa! The music starts, fans scream, the boys singing with lots of energy while dancing. Gosh! They really look good, like dolls moving on stage. Didn’t took any pictures, I just enjoyed myself watching and staring at them especially at Ki Bum *drool* of course. After the performance, the official greeting and introduction of the group and individually.
Then Alexander said something like “It’s hot in here. Mainit!” And we were surprised. Then, a loud scream from fans of course. Soo Hyun followed, “It’s hot in here right?” *scream*
Second song was Talk to Me. They were really cute in this performance.
Sorry but I can’t remember the right sequence. I’m still on a high, you know, after shock and I’m still not on a right state of mind *lol*. Here are the other songs: I Like You, As Long as You Love Me and I have no doubt about this, Bingeul Bingeul was there last song.
Note: On this paragraph, I can’t remember when it happened. Sorry.
Soo Hyun was feeling to hot that he was telling the fans something like “It’s hot in here and you’re hot too! Mainit!” and he removed his wardrobe, if I’m not mistaken (correct me if I’m wrong) Dong Ho and Eli removed their wardrobe too. *screams!* *screams* They were so muscular. Sheesh!!!! I get shivers when I remember this. They performed without wardrobes just their inner sleeveless shirt *faints*. And while performing, there was this part where they are going to point on the audience, and bang! Ki Bum was pointing at us (me and the new friend a year younger than us) *blush* *faints*. There were also several times when Alexander glanced at us as well as Ki Seop *nonstop blush*.
After their Bingeul Bingeul performance, U-Kiss went backstage to freshen up and fans numbered 1 to 10 was asked to assemble at the waiting area for the fan signing event was about to start! Weeee!!!!! The good news was the first 300 fans were prioritized, and that was a lot of fans.
Fan signing was fast. Dictation of names, hugging, kissing, taking of pictures from personal cameras was prohibited (a professional camera man was assigned to take pictures). Just a simple hand shake was allowed. And Alexander spoke before the fan signing event. Told us that they feel sorry because there were lots of don’ts but promised us that they will shake our hands firmly *scream*.
Here’s what happened when it was my time for the autograph signing:
Soo Hyun: He’s really friendly and his fan service was the best among them. He was already greeting me with a smile as I was approaching him. I was smiling back at him widely. As I was saying “Hello” he told me “I like that.” I was confused for a short while then he repeated again “I like that” as he was pointing to my cheeks nearly touching it (I really can’t remember if he touched my cheek or not) *blush*. Then I said to myself, “Oh right! My dimples.” Then I went blank and just told him “Thank you” several times and shook his hands and waved bye.
Kevin: He noticed my dimples too and said the same thing as Soo Hyun with a very bright smile as he was looking at me. I thanked him also several times and shook his hands. He was really handsome. He looks like Dara Park a bit, just a male version of Dara Park (though I haven’t met Dara in person yet).
Alexander: The spokesperson of the group. Greeted me “Hi!” and I greet him back with a “Hello”. He then looked down to sign and also told me that he liked my dimples. Thanked him and shook his hands.
Ki Seop: Well, he was thin compared to the other members. And he’s skin was shining, it has a whitish glow *wow*. Got star-struck because of his complexion. He didn’t talk much just a simple “Hello” and a smile. Thanked him also waved bye then shook his hands. Too cute!
Ki Bum: My favorite among them. Really looks like a doll. Greeted him with a smile and a hello, greeted me back with a Hi signed the CD shook my hands and thanked him. He didn’t talked much too I just stared at him *lol*. Handsome!
Eli: He’s hot! Very muscular and has a cool hair. He didn’t say much too. The same routine hello, thank you, shake hands, wave bye.
Dong Ho: Ooooh, I love his cheeks. I wanna pinch it, it’s so bubbly. He’s a bit shy I think. Same routine again, hello, thank you, shake hands, wave bye.
Well, all those times that I was standing in front of them, I was not thinking right. I was supposed to say something to each one of them but nothing came out of my mouth. Anyhow, I had a great time. And when the show was over, Alexander was also the one who bid goodbye in behalf of the group.
And oh yeah, here’s several things that happened right after the fan signing. Soo Hyun carried Kevin as if they were newly weds. They were cute and Ki Seop was wearing a headband with small ears and he doing the heart shape with his hands and posing in front of the cameras with the saranghae expression with his body (you know, when they raise their hands and put it on top of their head). He’s just so cute. Ki Bum was waving everywhere, in front, at both sides of the stage and on the fans at the second floor. Eli threw his pen on to the fans. When they were about to leave, the best scene I saw was Ki Bum and Kevin were holding hands when they were getting upstairs and still holding hands when they were running fast trough their exclusive exit. Aaaah, that was so sweet, don’t want to be separated.
Well, that was about it. Had a great time and I hope when they get back in May 29 for their concert in Araneta they will have a blast.
U-Kiss Fighting!
I hope I’ll be able to meet and greet SS501 too. *hopeful*
SS501 Fighting!
