orange chicken, orange soda, orange ... range.

I could be doing my EuroCiv reading right now. I'm not, though. I read like two pages last night and almost fell asleep ... it was bad, I tell you what.

So they put actual orange slices in the orange chicken today. Probably to make it look more appealing because honestly, it's not appealing. It seems their marketing strategy worked though, because I look down and see that I have a bowl of orange chicken and steamed rice (<3) and I'm eating it. (this is the reason for my title (yes that means look at it now if you haven't already!)) I also got orange soda. Yum. I'm becoming dependent on soda ... or over-fond, maybe. And the orange range is a result of needing another orange to finish things off. I'm listening to Viva Rock to give it a reason. Uh huhhhh ... see how my mind works.

Today in drawing class I was happy and self-esteem-ful and it was nice. We're doing subtractive drawing with charcoal these days. I decided that I DEFINITELY like charcoal .... (not the compressed stuff Miss Davis foced on us, Dani. This is actually pretty clean ... ) and I DEFINITELY hate graphite, except for doing line-drawings. Erg, yeah. Subtractive drawing is really fun, too. And I'm drawing a flamingo!!! It's pink but I have to make it grey ... still cool though. I lost my motivation to draw, halfway through class, for some reason. I LIKE my drawing, so I don't know why I didn't want to work on it. Our prof was telling us how if we looked at the foundation programs of other art schools around the country, we'd be really impressed with ourselves because, he says, a lot of them are not as good as Grand Valley, overall. Nice. I like ego-boosts.

Also I'm losing the fingerprint on my right pointer finger from rubbing in my charcoal so much ... hahaha. Stay tuned to the news and wait for me to commit my first crime, 'kay?

Um ... and finally, the weather is GLORIOUS and 36º. Oh, I'm so happy .... so so so happy. It was even bright out when I left for class at 7:30 7:40 this morning. You have no idea how wonderful that is, unless ... you do. THE SNOW IS MELTING AND I LOVE LIFE.

My chicken and rice is cold though, I've been dawdling. (laugh if you know why i use that term). Okay I'm done journaling now.
