Apparently, it's Spring Forward for Daylight Savings Eve, so everyone remember to go to bed early!! (I always get a little mopey about this side of daylight savings. but it does mean more light in the evenings!)
It is really really hard, not being able to read manga for Lent. Uwaaaaah. We went to the bookstore last night because there was a coupon, so I had to use it even if I bought something I won't be able to read for 3 more weeks. I got HaruHana! Yay! And the cover really is so cute and pretty and I wish more than ever there could have been two more volumes of that cover with its beautiful colours. Yuana Kazumi can write some confusing stories, but her illustrations are gorgeous, ooh. Oh, and I also happened across a large chunk of Ouran in the used book section! Yesssss! When I first read the series, I was borrowing my friend Lindsey's copies. But then she went and moved away to Tennessee, and I started buying the volumes myself from where I'd left off. So I had 9 onward, but none of the beginning except volumes 1 and 6 that I found somewhere else used. But now I'm only missing volume 3!!! Oh, but when I was gleefully nabbing the used books last night, I didn't remember that I already had volume 1, so now I have two copies. Would anyone like one of them? (the first copy I got is in a more worn condition, so I'm thinking I'll keep the newer looking one.) Jane? Anyone else who somehow hasn't already read/bought the series? Actually, that reminds me I've got two copies of the first volume of From Far Away as well (I bought a volume to try it out, then got a reallyreally good deal on the whole series on ebay). So... let me know if you're interested in either of those volume-ones, anyone.
My other fantastic find in the used book section last night-
Little Oink!!! I have loved this series of "Little" books (Little Pea and Little Hoot are its companions) since I first laid eyes on them. And I always love pig characters in kids' books (see:
Oink and Pearl,
Toot & Puddle,
Richard Scarry's books (okay, all of the animals are cute in those)). So I was happy happy, and I read it to myself for a bedtime story, and then I tried to resolve to clean my messy messy room today (which... sorta got started, but didn't progress very far). I think about 90% of my messiness would be solved by having more storage space (bookcases of course, more window spaces for plants, a bigger dresser and closet for clothes). But it's impossible to find places to put anything, so Stuff just ends up in piles everywhere. I guess this probably just means I have Too Much Stuff. But I like Stuff...
Oh, and volumes 1-5 of IHY♥! were still in the used book section. Poor books :(
Also today, I applied for my passport. Yay!! They had to take my picture twice because the first time my glasses had glares on them. The second time I pulled out my pair of lenseless-glasses and so there were no problems. Hopefully. So... assuming everything goes through in a timely fashion, I'm hoping to check out TCAF with my comic-artist
brother :D :D in May! By the way, he just finished the first issue (chapter?) of his comic! So go check it out if you haven't already!!
Ha! Apparently I already have a daylight savings tag. I am so me.
Alright, enough rambling for one night. Later!
