Yes, they broke me. Completely. *sob*

It's been a while since I've actually cried over a ~*~fandom~*~ (I know, pathetic with a capital 'P'), but damn, I totally did yesterday. Worse still, I was watching telly with my roommates at the time, and it took all my willpower not to shed a tear right there and then. I'm obviously talking about Los Hombres de Paco & that one special scene which, once again, demonstrated that Pepa & Silvia were (are?) soulmates and all that crap that now makes us sob uncontrollably.

At first, I really thought I could make it through without feeling the urge to bury my head in the sofa cushions and cry my eyes out.

I made it about here.

Ghost!Silvia: I wanted to hug her, to kiss her...but I didn't dare. [pause / a tear rolling down Silvia's cheek] I have never been so in love with someone in my life.

The angst! Pepa can't see her, Silvia trying to reach out to her and touch her, Paco losing it, the wedding rings... Oh, Jesus and all that is holy. I was a MESS inside after this.

My sweet, sweet OTP. ♥ The feelings of utter exhilaration and deep sorrow are still at war in my mind when I think of these two. And just how cruel was this scene, because it only provided further proof that the tail of Pepa and Silvia is one of the biggest and truest love stories television has ever seen. And no, I'm not exaggerating, I'm actually playing it down a bit. *sniff*

Watch the scene in question here and keep the Kleenex nearby.

Speaking of fandoms that make us want to cry (this time, though, not in a good way), after the clusterfuck that was Season 7, I haven't really watched Law & Order: SVU. In fact, since then, I've caved exactly three times: 1) when Paget Brewster guest starred in Season 8, 2) when Alex joined the show again in Season 10, and 3) last week when Lena Olin guest starred. Why? Because Lena Olin is a goddess, which she definitely proved to be true, once again.

Yessssss, Lena being a hot & cool lawyer. How to make thing even hotter (and I'm aware I'm totally weird when it comes to this): cover her in blood!

She then proceeds to heat things up in the courtroom. It really is glorious to watch.

Perfect. Oh, and that faint smile in the last cap? Such an Irina smile, my God.

Also, just because apparently, it was Hottie McHot day at court:

Alex! You're almost enough to make me watch again. You and your glasses of hot!justice.

Anyway, after the aforementioned Paco episode yesterday, I was all *angsty* and *reflective* and other emo things. For some reason, I began listening to The Corrs while playing Bubble Shooter 2 pondering the meaning of life, and suddenly, it hit me (again) how bloody brilliant this band are/were. I mean, damn. I remembered all the special versions of songs and über-rare singles I used to know everything about. This band was so good to me, and I'm so ridiculously happy I got to see them live. Anyway, the point of all this is to say that the live version of "Paddy McCarthy" is one of the most ingenious pieces of music EVER:

Perfection, my peeps, perfection. \o/
