Because life is such an adventure.

So, the ceiling lamp in my room went *pop* the other day and I can't change it myself because of the screws & other lovely things. Such a blow to my butchiness, let me tell you. Anyway, I need to wait till Monday until I can report it, which is fine, since I can easily get by with my table lamp alone. Except that the light bulb of my table lamp also blew this morning. ANNOYANCE. What are the odds, really? Thank God for Somerfield being open on Sundays.

My life is so exciting, I know.

There was a really adorable scene in this week's Hospital Central. ♥ And by adorable I mean corny, über-sugary and completely unrealistic, but it still made me sigh happily. Damn Spanish shows, making me all sappy.

Background info: Esther left Bea. Yay! Maca is gleeful. Funny! Maca also knows that she's the reason for Esther's decision.

Maca: I wanted you to know that...I'll try and win you back. If that's okay with you. And I'll do it slowly, little by little.
Esther: [chuckles] I can't guarantee any results. We've really hurt each other.
Maca: [amused] Well, I'm a doctor. And you're a nurse.
Esther: And we both know that patients need time to heal. [pause] See you tomorrow. [turns to go]

Maca: Esther! [Esther turns back] And this patient you're talking about... Does the patient want to be healed?
Esther: [a small smile on her lips] What do you think?

Ahh! I was a goner after this. Brilliantly corny.

Next Friday, I'll finally get to see Dancing at Lughnasa in London (cactusgirluk, have I mentioned lately that I love you? *g*). Andrea Corr & Niamh Cusack on stage together? Awesomeness. The reviews have been quite wonderful so far, and many of them are praising Andrea's performance. There is also a lovely interview with Andrea, Niamh and the director, Anna Mackmin; "Theatre debut - please be gentle". Cute!

And finally, in case someone hasn't seen this yet, Portia de Rossi's PSA about gay marriage. Just when I thought I couldn't love her more.
