Meme-ing & semifinal hugging.

Comment, I'll pick 7 interests and you explain them.

racethewind10 picked the following:

Booth/Brennan || Oh, my ultimate het!OTP. THE UST! Unfortunately, most het parings are written so poorly that I simply lose interest. Booth & Brennan are another story entirely. The writing is solid, the chemistry between the two actors is convincing and palpable, and due to this I'm absolutely convinced that these two are made for each other. If they don't get together by the end of the show, heads will roll.

Emma Thompson || One of my favourite British actresses. The first time I really noticed her was when I saw Sense and Sensibility, but it wasn't until her hilarious cameo in Ellen that I completely fell in love with her ("If you must know, I was born...in Daton, Ohio."). She has a brilliant sense of humour, and I'm sure she'd be a fascinating person to have dinner with.

Girls Aloud || My favourite British pop band ever. Their music is exactly what pop music should be; it's catchy, easy to get into, and it makes you want to dance wildly. Their O2 gig last May was the best live concert I've ever been to. Simply perfection. There's only one thing left to be said, really: Juuuuuump!

Linguistics || I am such a language geek. All aspects of the verbal human communication fascinate me (sociolinguistics FTW!), and I adore jokes that play with words. If the pay wasn't so lousy, I'd probably become a researcher specialised in linguistics. Seriously, how can anyone say language isn't interesting?

Pierce Brosnan || I admit it, I'd probably go straight for this man. Yes, I know he's old enough to be my dad, but there's just something in him that makes me weak in the knees. And no matter how much people praise Daniel Craig's performance, to me Pierce Brosnan = James Bond.

Out of Practice || The best canceled sitcom ever. I truly don't understand people who say this show wasn't funny, because the jokes still make me howl with laughter ("Excuse me, I need to have a word with my bartender. Gin!"). Or, maybe I just have a poor sense of humour. In any case, I'll never forgive CBS for denying us Henry Winkler & Stockard Channing on the screen together - not to mention Paula Marshall as a lesbian.

Maitokahvi || This. For non-Finns, this is a delicious coffee-flavoured milk drink. I do like the regular café au lait as well, but it has nothing on Valio's version. I once (sort of accidentally) drank almost a litre of that stuff in one evening; watching CSI has never been as much fun.

And just when you thought I wouldn't mention handball at all. Ahaha...ha?

Norway won and they'll play in the final tomorrow! Olympic gold, here we come! Yesterday's semifinal match against South Korea was dramatic to say the least (that's actually the understatement of the year), and we got to see the perfect Gro/Katja post-game hug afterwards.

Gro was on fire yesterday. Fantastic passes, brilliant goals and downright acrobatic moves.

But damn. This match was INSANE. South Korea scored three goals in the last minute, Norway's lead evaporated in a blink of an eye, and it was a tie mere six seconds before full time. And what does Gro, the greatest handball player and captain ever, do? Scores the winning goal IN THE LAST FUCKING SECOND.

Lesson learned: the game isn't over until there's full 60 minutes in the clock.

Understandably, a lot of hugging took place afterwards. Especially the good, lesbian kind.

This pic slays me.

Indeed. I nearly passed out, because hello?? ADORABLE. Gro's crying, they're holding on to each other for dear life, completely oblivious to the world.

And when the others come to them, they still won't let go of each other and the whole thing turns into a group hug.

Just how darn cute is this team?

When our lovely couple finally let go, they also have time for other members of the team:

NORWAY IS PLAYING FOR THE GOLD! GRO & KATJA'S LOVE IS SO PERFECT.

I DON'T KNOW WHY I'M THIS EXCITED. OR WHY I'M SHOUTING. I'LL STOP NOW.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I don't know what I'll do when the Olympics are over.
