It's been a long, long time. And now I have a hammock.
Well, it's been over a year since I last posted an entry, which is pretty ridiculous. I read over all my old entries, though, and it was kind of fun to remember some events or feelings which I'd forgotten about. Once, when I was little, I thought that I would always remember every little detail of my life. I think that would be incredible were it true, but in point of fact nothing could be farther from the truth.
I won't bother trying to note everything that's changed in my life in the past year, but here are a few of the highlights: I moved in with my friends John and Scott, both of whom have long since left Hawaii, and now I have an apartment all to myself. I still work strange rotating shifts, but my job now is significantly different than the one I had last year, and I work with completely different people. My group of friends has changed a lot, not due to any major issues but more the steady, quiet pull of the military as people move on to different things.
And now I have a hammock. It just arrived today and I set it up this evening by moonlight. It is an awfully nice, comfortable hammock, and I like it a lot. I think perhaps I'll go recline in it now.
